en barcelona, vale

I love the subtle differences in Europe. They just add up to make this completely different lifestyle. Areas where some people cut corners, here they do it all. Trivial subtle differences. Every main block is rounded, old building facades are preserved and their interiors restored to house people, stores, offices-- everything. It's like the city actual lives in its own history. Bikes are rampant. There's even a public bike service with bikes locked up on special bike racks throughout the city for any resident to commute on and drop off at another similar rack. The neighborhoods are pretty homogenous and it just seems like everything emphasizes the idea of community. So far I've only eaten a few falafels con hummos and they've been delicious.

I could really see myself living here.
