I'd been considering doing this for a while and now I've decided it's time to start. I ride my bicycle very very often, jumping on buses and trains with it and meeting strange and interesting people all the time, so I have a lot of stories. Somehow having a bicycle is like an introduction to conversation with strangers, it's a simple segue into innocuous questions and pick up lines like 'you come here often?'-- believe me. I always want to share my stories and sometimes I just like to reflect on my observations so heres my chance to do all that and get some feed back. Right now I live in Miami and the roads are not exactly bicycle friendly nor is the abrupt and relentless rainfall, but somehow I manage to make my trip to downtown for work and on occasion just to friends houses. I do have a few larger trips planned like the keys and the everglades-- specifically shark valley, with a few friends. There's also a lot of documenting going on, when I can handle the added weight I bring my 35mm manual camera, but for the sake of consistent documentation in this blog, I'll try to carry around my digital and take a few snapshots here and there.
hmm, well thats about it. The rain is falling pretty sporadically today and with Poseidon's force so I doubt today's ride will be much fun. Anyways, cheers to the inauguration of my first biking blog.
