more curious sleep knowledge.
"This alternative sleep pattern is polyphasic (as opposed to monophasic) and apparently, is our natural habit as babies before society’s needs mould and adapt us to a monophasic pattern! Also called the Uberman’s Sleep Pattern/Schedule and touted to be done by Da Vinci himself (without concrete proof however), it involves catnaps of 20-30 minutes 6 to 8 times a day as opposed to a deep sleep of 7-9 hours once a day."
My first concern was losing REM sleep and not dreaming anymore, but:
"The idea is to trick your body into thinking that in order to survive, it’s going to have to get its REM sleep within that 30 mins hook or crook - to prioritize survival needs...There’s another interesting effect that Tes pointed out that got me quite excited. Intense, vivid dreams! He claims that he began to experience intense, lucid dreams down to the very minute details."
all the more reason to keep a dream journal. i'm actually really excited abut trying to do this, I may do it over January ISP.
Pulled an all nighter last night, sleeping only for an hour about 20 minutes ago. I felt very productive but freezing my ass off made me want to sleep that much more. Analeah and I always joke about what it would be like if humans selectively hibernated in the winter. Professor: "Why isn't fabienne in class today?" Analeah:"Oh she's just hibernating".
I'm scared for ISP. I'm worried either prf Brain won't sponsor me or the CAA won't give me money to buy film and enlargement paper. If they don't, I could potentially be spending $300 in december-- of whose money, I'm not entirely sure.
I miss being productive and creative. I have a lot of ideas and aspirations but I hardly follow through. I think this ISP could break that habit.
